In Space – The Prelude

In Space is probably an accurate name for this artist. Using a lot of reverb In Space’s songs always have a very astronomical feel to it. There are songs like Wasted or Springtime which make use of a much cleaner piano, but with vocals drowned in reverb, you get the same kind of spacey, washed out feeling. The Prelude is a brand new song and it’s really fresh. Imagine Sigur Ros on Acid or British Sea Power’s Man of Aran not written for the Aran Islands but the Andromeda galaxy. It is beautiful and melancholic at first, before exploding into a post-rock climax. Dreamy, lush and creative, this is the kind of song that takes you to eternity and beyond.
